The morning glory

It seems odd to admit it (and maybe I shouldn't) but in the several years we've called this lovely place home, this is the first time we've been fortunate enough to to be here in May and see the Iris in bloom. Until now, my only contact with these blooms has been to weed them and remove the dried foliage long after they were finished for the year.

It is a good life, and I am thankful.
