sitting pretty

jaysus when is it going to end?? on my way to Penicuik for work today and i bore witness to a crash. just what i needed after saturday. pretty inocuous really just a bump. the back end of a coach clipped a womans little car and peeled the back wing like a sardine tin. i was directly behind the coach and asked was she ok and did she want a witness. lovely lady from Ghana very shook up who insisted i sit with her till her husband came. i drove her car off the road got her a coffee and just generally did what anyone would, well that's if everyone else asks a shocked stranger if she'll be supporting the Black Stars at the World Cup and asking what food she ate at home in Africa. it seemed to work though as it cheered her up and got her laughing the upshot being she offered to cook my wife and i some traditional Ghanain food. fair play. i arrived at work at ten and completed the takeaway i have been working on since last year (not continuously) thus doing myself out of a job, such is the nature of building. when it's built you're finished. strange day of feeling satisfaction yet disappointment. Corrie always lifts the spirits and gave me a wee laugh with her insistence on jumping into this chair as we walked up easter road.
