5 a Day

Woke up this morning to an e-mail from BA telling us our flight home is cancelled! Great! Cabin staff strike again! Spent about an hour and a half on hold waiting to speak to someone at BA (thankfully on a free-phone number in the USA) before finding they were able to book us onto an American Airlines flight leaving a few hours earlier on the same day and routing via Dallas before getting into Heathrow about the same time as the original flight. Not great, and lots of hassle waiting on hold. Not looking forward to the extra flight, but at least it's sorted.

So by the time all that was out of the way... and we finally got showered and dressed (day off the gym today), we headed out around mid-day for b'fast/lunch at The Good Egg where we had an eggsceptional meal!

After that we headed out north a bit to the outlets where the whole afternoon disappeared while we wandered around in the lovely weather and did a little shopping! They had some nice looking toffee apples in one of the shops!

Finally headed back around 6pm via another bookshop (hubby finished his book last night) and made it back to watch the finale results show of American Idol. It was Simon Cowell's last show as he was leaving and we enjoyed all the entertainment whilst eating some pizza delivered from NYPD Pizza!
