it's a classic blip moment.

i took one arty shot of some wee boat that we'd made out of leaves and twigs which reflected beautifully in the water, with a strange reflection that made the face of man - but i picked this instead.

we went to a scottish ballet open day - well, we turned up an hour before it finished - but we did enjoy watching the p7 ballerinas and trying on a few costume bits and pieces and getting a tiny crystal put on to carpetbiter1's t-shirt. the guys played happily in the gardens and then we went back to our pals for tea and dog chasing. then back home for english football victory and a cheery fish and chips with mr skaterg1rl's song writing buddy.

in the morning i took carpetbiter1 in to town to fulfill her ardent desire for a pair of footless tights (i must stop calling them legless tights by mistake - i suspect a pair of legless tights is effectively a pair of pants...).

it's the first real fashion thing that she's been really keen to get but i was gratified that she was totally uninterested in shopping for them.

i think i get a good 9/10 for motherhood today. wouldnt like to give myself 10/10, might sound a bit stuck up. but secretly we all know that i deserve it...
