Lunch.
Yesterday I blipped a photo of a great tit about to feed a daddy longlegs to her babies. Today I thought I'd go for a shot of the meal!
It doesn't surprise me that almost every bird I see at the minute has one of these in its beak, they're not the most fleet footed of the insects! This one bumbled along and sat beside me as I was taking macro shots of a wasp (dangerous occupation I know - I had to get far too close for comfort!). Then he just proceeded to sit on the grass for at least 10 minutes, oblivious to the dangers all around. I think if I hadn't been there with my arse in the air scaring off the birds he'd have been a goner for sure. It's only a matter of time :)
