Creekside Cut Flowers: Week Two

I was on duty today as the other two moms were off running errands, tending to kids, etc. For the most part it was rather relaxing to sit in the shade and watch the people slowly walking about. Half the vendors here are Amish, like this little one sitting on the table full of strawberries, helping herself as her mother arranges the fruit & vegetables for presentation.

A lone but loud and torrential thunderstorm passed over us at one point lasting about 45 minutes. Our canopy is not water proof, yet quite sturdy, so I managed to rotate to each sagging corner and tip the pools of rain water out, splashing the hot pavement. Just as I was seriously considering closing up shop for the day, the sun peered between the clouds and the storm passed. Made more sales at the 5pm rush than any other time of the day. Glad I stuck it out.
