Used book store

In an effort to declutter my bookcase, I sold some books online. What I couldn't sell I took to the local used bookstore where they advertised on several signs that the "buy, sell, and trade" used books.

The disgruntled shop clerk made it clear the they don't actually "buy" books afterall. False advertising but whatev'. I decided to go ahead and trade the books ... Only I learned after picking out my trades that it's actually not an even-steven trade. I still had to pay 30 percent of the marked price.

This place is clearly running a racket but I decided to move forward and took home these 11 books (I now have a two book credit) which should keep me busy through the end of August if not the rest of 2010 an '11.

A nice mixture of contemporary light beach reading ("Lipstick Jungle"), literary classics ("A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man"), and American History (the aptly named "A History of the American People")....

I'm pretty excited to finish my current books so I can dig in!
