Medieval Kilkenny

The examination class list having been 'signed' before lunch today, we took off in the afternoon to Kilkenny. It's a delightful, medieval town, without too many tourists at this time of year.

This photograph is rather touristy, on the other hand. It shows a typical medieval alley.

I have set up other photographs of Kilkenny, including

A Street Scene
A fine pub where we drank Kilkenny stout
Some modern glass in a Domincan abbey
More glass in the same place.

I was playing around with exposures and metering for the glass, which had the sun illuminating it from behind. In the end, I used spot metering at the centre of the glass, and applied minus 2.0 stops of exposure compensation.
