Day 6 - Missoula / Flathead Lake

A great sleep in our sumptuous B&B, woken at 8am with a huge tray of coffee and freshly baked apple scones - great start to the day! Breakfast followed at 9am in the dining room, a yummy strawberries and french toast concoction.

Then drove north of Missoula to Polson and then skirted Flathead Lake to Bigfork (loving these names!!!). Stunning scenery all the way. Lunch in Bigfork - salad for Mrs DP, huge bratwurst roll for moi. Diet? What diet?!?!?

Headed back south after lunch stopping en route for a box of cherries from a roadside stall - they grow them in orchards that go right to the water's edge. Freshest cherries you could possibly ever taste. The price? $1.50 for 1 lb - BARGAIN!!!

Headed back into Missoula as the sun started to set. Walked around the Oktoberfest (!!!) - the town is twinned with one in Germany. Finished off having a ride on the Carousel - free as it was the last of the day. Kids? Us? Yes!

Driving to Helena and Bozeman tomorrow.
