The Rubicon Peak

For a while this morning there was a break in the clouds through which part of the mountains could be seen. This is the much blipped (by me) Rubicon Peak of Mount Torlesse. Torlesse was the first surveyor in these parts and the Rubicon River is the last before the mountains. This peak is above the river.

There's that hawk again. It was circling high above the trees a long, long way from the mountain.

It didn't rain today, after seven straight days of almost non-stop rain. Now and then the sun shone briefly, but all day big clouds were threatening.

Looks good in large. More can be seen here, but not all are mine.
