Taken for a Ride!!!!!!!!!! Ho Chi Minh

This was taken before events took a turn for the worse..

we had been approached by a rickshaw (cyclos) man who offered us a great deal of a tour round the city for 42US each.. wow we thought!
lets do it...

so we did.. we went to the war re,enants museum (mmm bit odd as we thought we were on a tour of the city) and then to this temple.. .. Ok.. nice..

(i did mention to Steve.. i hope we dont get charged for the time we were in the museum etc)

anyway.. they then drove us a bit out of town, and stopped at an ATM..
Guy no 2 then said.. You pay us now..
we want 600,000 dong each (that equates to 30 US each!)
But we said we were quoted $2 us for an hour...
NO he said.. and you been 2 hours he said..(20 mins of that was ON the bikes, the rest was in museums & Temples!!)
He accused us of Lying to him.... we had no money .. well NOT that much, and he said.. were at an ATM! He grabbed steves wallet and said Give me that!
It was ridiculous..
we ended up giving him more than we should as we felt threatened.. and we just walked away.. we had NO idea where we were...

Ho Chi Minh then became a thorn in my side..
as it appears everyone is trying to tout you for money!

we resorted to the safety of the hotel......
and to be honest id have been happy to stay there... and not come out...
such a shame!
