Szent Istvan Basilika

My guidebook describes St Stephen's Church, somewhat disrespectfully, as a "monstrous edifice". Perhaps it was ghost written by Prince Charles, though it looks more like the sort of architecture that would meet with his royal approval.

Spent most of the evening there listening to a superb organ recital, absorbing every sound wave reverberating from the lavishly decorated walls. And afterwards walked across the Elizabeth Bridge and back to my hotel, absorbing sheets of rain sweeping down the Danube.
