Sea anenome beauty
My husband and I got up early this morning and went to Bandon. We took a few back roads there, I saw sea gulls on top of a house that wasn't even that close to the beach, and I saw horses, and there were some nice rhododendrons, but nothing spoke to me.
We went down to the Seven Devils wayside, and I saw these 3 guys on bikes heading down the hill toward the beach. They had shovels across their handlebars. I had never seen such a thing before. I didn't think too much of it at first, but I decided to walk over to the edge of the bank overlooking the ocean view, and I got this shot of
this man riding his bike. He would stop every so often, as would his friends, and dig in the sand. You can kind of see the bag on the side of the bike, that is where he put the clams. Very interesting.
We finally got to Bandon, and went out to eat breakfast; I had scrambled eggs and minced ham, but it was way too greasy. We went down to see if I could get some shots of of he starfish, but the weather was so nasty, and the tide wasn't as low as I had thought it would be. I guess I should learn to read the tide tables better.
Anyway, I found these sea anenomes and I thought they were so beautiful. My husband doesn't like to look at them; he thinks they are pretty ugly. He thought I should have used the guy clamming on the bike as my entry, but I chose this instead.
I sure hope our weather gets better, it has been hard to find decent shots lately. Hope you all have a nice week.
