Cody
This morning after dropping the boys off at school...Landon and I took MeeMaw (that's what my kids call great-grandma) on her errands. Her poor leg is all bruised up from a spill she took 1 1/2 weeks ago. For a 91-year-old woman, she's lucky she didn't get hurt worse. No broken bones! When we dropped her off, Landon wanted to go in and see her cat, Blu. He also enjoyed seeing my aunt's dog, Cody. MeeMaw has a house attached to her son and daughter-in-law (my aunt and uncle), so Cody the dog visits her house as well. I thought it was cute when Cody jumped onto her couch and sat their patiently looking out the window waiting for my aunt to return home. I was glad I captured a picture of it.
Then, since my kids have a half-day on Wednesdays, I picked them up and met up with my friend Linda for lunch and so that our kids could play together. Also, churros are a cheap after-school snack and they burn off the sugar from them while playing in the playland. ha ha I have been asked daily by my kids to go swimming, but this is the strangest May/June weather I've ever seen here in California. It's been overcast & cool for this time of the year. I can't put them off much longer...I'm sure we'll find a pool next week once school is out, rain or shine.
Tonight was the first round of Liam's Farm Tournament and the Phillies won!!! Liam did well hitting and playing 3rd base tonight. We're off to the next round tomorrow night. Loren is practicing EVERY night for the Tournament of Champions...so I guess ball isn't over quite yet! Landon bit it hard on the concrete bleachers tonight. He tore skin off of his cheek, nose and his lip, some of which ended up on my hand! His poor lip is huge! It appears he may have a small chip in his middle, bottom tooth as well. Needless to say, I started the shower and he panicked about getting his face wet. So then I tried the bath and screaming started when the water washed over his head; bath ended quickly. I covered him with Neosporin and sent him off to bed hoping tomorrow his face will feel better. He may look like a boxer tomorrow.
Then it was time to relax with a couple of favorite shows only to find out that our entire DVRs hard drive had been wiped out due to corruption. All of the shows we've taped this season were gone...something we'd hoped to catch up on once life slowed down. We went to call the satellite company for help and then realized our phone was lost! I think aside from winning a ball game, tonight was just one of those nights.
