Blooming
Summer changes people doesn't it?
Most of the year in Belfast the weather is miserable, people rush about with their heads down, umbrellas up, dying to get inside to the dry and the warmth. But when the sun's shining people sit in the park, they stop and chat to friends in the street instead of firing a quick "hi" as they dart past, they walk slowly and they look around them. It's such a nice atmosphere, and gives us a little insight into how nice it must be to live in a country where being outdoors (in the city) doesn't usually spell misery.
I think it changes me too, because I've had the sudden urge to take photographs of flowers. The roses in the rose garden have just started to bloom, little flashes of colour here and there, and I couldn't resist. Boring for you I'm sure, I promise I won't do it too often :)
