Nesting Instincts

Every time we visit in June, the old telegraph pole beside our hotel plays maternity hospital to more and more newly hatched stork chicks.

We could count three this year.


ln the morning we are often awoken by the sticcato clack clacking sounds made by their long beaks.

Underneath in the thick thatch nest many little sparrows


off for supper
