Limpets with barnacles

When I was in Madeira 18 months ago, I spent an anxious hour watching someone leaping about on a rock to avoid the waves as the tide came in. The leaper was collecting limpets which are served up in many restaurants there. Probably not advisable along the Forth shore, although I think the notices warning against collecting shellfish in SQ have gone.
