Samsung Building: Shanghai
We made it to Shanghai today after a bit of a delay from Shenzhen.
The flight was relatively short, the food on the plane was decent, and the weather in Shanghai was missing that familiar humid thickness (thats a good thing!).
From the airport, we chose to take the metro to where our hostel is located (about 40 min. away). We could have taken the super fast Maglev Train, but we'll do that another time, no doubt.
Our hostel, Le Tour Shanghai Youth Hostel is in a funky yellow building not far from the JinShajiang Road metro station. After checking in and resting a bit, we took our first steps out into the city, taking the metro to People's Square.
We enjoyed a most delicious meal at a vegetarian restaurant, and walked around People's Square, and Nanjing Road--one of the worlds busiest shopping streets.
Here, an HDR shot of the Samsung Building as the sun was going down.
