today's bravery award goes to Andie who had this lovely rusty nail impaled into her foot. Hero award goes to her dad who took it out. Amazing feat of memory award goes to me, for remembering stuff from my first aid course 300 years ago and knowing what I needed to do to stop the blood. Award for best assistant goes to the littlest, who managed to work out what my garbled words meant and turned up with fresh bandages and scissors and then chocolate for all. And award for not throwing up goes to Flea, who missed all the action but nearly puked when she saw the nail and heard the story.
