...bit of a marathon
1910 there was a big Conference in Edinburgh that changed the story for the world church. 1200 delegates, pretty all white and from the west.
2010 they had a party to mark the anniversary. John Setanu, Archbishop of York, addressed the delegates who came this time round! Lots and lots of differences - and you certainly wouldn't have got a black archbishop in 1910!
Oh - and it was a bit of a marathon because the last session here lasted three hours!
