Backblip

Today was a wonderful bliptrip out to the Isle of May, for Parsfan's birthday. Mrs Parsfan, Stan and meles all came along.

The weather was not the greatest, it was misty or raining the whole day; still a fantastic day out, though! The wildlife on and around the island is spectacular, with the stars of the show, as always, the puffins (Fratercula arctica).

I took over 400 photographs, and I'm still sorting through them. Some are now up in a new Blipfolio collection.

This shot shows the comical, curious and trusting nature of these little auks; everywhere you walk on the island, wee heads turn to follow you from burrows and rocky outcrops.

I know it's the same species as my my companion blippers, but I work on the principle that you can't have too many puffin blips!
