"the uninspired blip"

Seemed like a good idea at the time?

I have recently noticed a robin quite regularly in my garden. Although, I understand, robins do not migrate from the UK and are quite happy to stay here all year round. However, they are seen more regularly in the winter months when they are searching for food and when they appear on millions of Christmas cards.

Anyway, I had an apple which which been lying in the fruit bowl for a few weeks so I decided to cut off a slice and put it in a tree in the garden for the robin!

I was quite surprised this morning to note that the apple had been nibbled, or perhaps knobbled may be a better word to use. I'm not at all sure that the robin had been there. I suspect it may have been a cat or even a RAT!

So, no more treats for the robin!
