Alarming news about Chino!!

C&R snr bought this 'bicycle' at the Chameleon Village this afternoon! Só very artistic, made of scrap pipes, barbed wire and pieces of scrap metal! It sits next to the swimmingpool now! ;-) They reported back that it was quite busy there, tourist from all over the world already, surely here for the Soccer World cup!! South Africa is quite hyped up and busy at the moment!! Woohoo!!

We are somewhat upset tonight!!

Sweet little darling Chino had a problem with limping a bit since always! Then the left hind leg and then the right one, seems like it dislocates! But since Sunday it seemed like more of a problem! She would just stand still and watch Milo play ball, and when she walks or runs, she will just suddenly give a sharp cry!

Today, when R jnr's A and her mom visited, the mom picked the both of them up to hold them in her lap, she adores them. Milo was very happy, but Chino cried everytime she stroked her little hip! You could see she was in pain!

C&R snr took her to the Vet who diagnosed dislocated hips, she says the left side was dislocated long ago, when she was still very tiny, and she adjusted to it, but now the right side dislocates and locates all the time, which is só painful!! Can you imagine, such a tiny baby, she only turns 1 on 15 June and weighs just over 2kg!

An emergency appointment was made with a veterinarian orthopaedic surgeon, who realised the urgency immediately when the vet described it to him, and he is willing to see her tomorrow morning at 08:00, in Montana, Pretoria!!

He says he will make his diagnosis and operate immediately, since she is in serious pain! We are not sure what will be done yet, he will decide after the x-rays, he hopes to just fix the dislocations and shorten the little tendons, worst case scenario will be hip replacements, but he is almost sure that wont be the case!!

Poor wee baby will have to fast from 22:00 tonight!! Not even allowed to drink water!!
