What's This Then?

Hubby and I went to Acorn Bank this afternoon, it's our local National Trust property, it's about 10-15 minutes away by car and yet this is only the 4th or 5th time we've been in the 12 years we've lived here. We thought it would be interesting to see what blip we each came up with, his is completely different to mine ;-)

I decided on a close up of a fallen tree. The huge tree, an oak I think, was lying in a field, most of the bark was missing on the top surface and what you see here is a close up of that. There were so many different patterns but this was the one I liked the best.

If you're ever in the area Acorn Bank is well worth a visit, there are some lovely gardens to wander around and a nice little tea room. Maybe you'll even see Polly the sheepdog with wheels, she can't use her back legs so has a great set of wheels to enable her to move around!
