Next square

The next square in the group project arrived today, ready for me to make another square in response. Goodness knows what I shall do this time, or when I will get a chance to do it.

On the house front, both bedrooms are now painted and carpeted and just need the furniture moving in/buying. They look lovely - I'm really pleased and it is making it feel more like home.

I had to take the Homebase paint that I'd used in my bedroom back to the shop today for a refund. I should have known better than to buy it, as it was so thin and runny that two coats still hadn't covered a pale cream wall, and as the tin advertised their Price Promise - if you're not completely satisfied, please return for a refund - I did just that! The sales girl snootily told me that I couldn't return half used paint, but I stood my ground and explained to the manager why I wanted a refund, which he duly gave me. I then bought some Dulux paint to finish the job, and the Homebase salesman who mixed it for me told me that he would never buy Homebase paint as it's so crap! Lesson learned - cheap paint is a false economy.
