Arches at dusk

Lisbon Oriente railway station looks rather impressive. It is surprising how grey concrete can be almost beautiful when it is used in light structures and arches. The arches of the roof structure are not of concrete as you can see. They looked good in daylight but the deep blue sky after sunset made them look even better.

The tower in the background is from a posh shopping mall Vasco da Gama just next to the station. Daily allowances would have vanished there quickly if there had been more time before the train left.
