Carnival Bridge

Coimbra is an old and historical city but a new recreational area has been built along the river. There is a lovely park with small piers for fishing or sun bathing, new architecture including orchestra house, verdant trees, nice riverside restaurants, interesting wooden pavilions for rowing boats and a stylish swimming pool. There is also this hilarious bridge across the river. I could not decide whteher I liked more the zigzag railing or the colourful shadows.
