They build 'em tall here!
I'm sensing this might be a bit of an insensitive picture to post for September 11th, but I liked it a lot, so look on it as a celebration of the fact that people still build tall, brilliant buildings despite everything - no offense intended.
Today we got the brilliant Star Ferry from Kowloon over to Hong Kong Island and had a wander around Central. This is the Jardine Building and is one of the smaller skyscrapers on Hong Kong Island.
Next we went on the Peak Tram (which is really a sort of uphill cablecar) to the Peak.
We went to look down on the city and over Victoria Harbour, thankfully we picked a good clear-ish day for it all.
Night time we headed down to Temple Street Night Market, which was an assault on the senses, smelly, noisy, atmospheric - everything you'd expect from the best market in Hong Kong.
I think I'm too full of the British reserve to be brave enough to barter, that combined with the fact I hate most kinds of shopping meant we came back empty handed, but it was interesting all the same.
