A good lesson for all!

Picking up a child from a nearby primary school to make a pre - transition visit to us, I saw these groups of children undergoing road safety training. On the back of their High vis jackets it said either Children at Work or Walking Bus.

As I returned to my car (seen at the centre back of the picture) with the child I was collecting, the group in the foreground had moved out of the gates and the gentleman was telling how my car had been illegally parked and how dangerous it was if their parents did the same! (I was on yellow zig zags but only for a minute and there was nowhere else - honest!)

When I returned about an hour and a half later he was there with another group so I made sure I parked further down the road and went round to the passenger side to see the girl safely out of the car as she would be stepping into the road.
The man saw me again and said that was a very good lesson for the children to learn - not to step straight out of the car into the road - and that I had been a very good teaching aid for him today!
