Golden weekend

Hopefully this will be a golden weekend as the weather forecast is good and and it is our village Gala tomorrow.

Also this weekend our church is celebrating it's 50th Anniversary of the united benefice of St Saviour's (our church) and St Matthew's (the church in the next village). So everything that has been happening in our church and village over the last 50 years is being commemorated, starting with an open weekend and display.

The floral arch is something many couples choose to do for their wedding day so Chris (my husband) and I were given the task, late this afternoon, to do a golden representative of this.

Not bad what you can do with a bit of greenery and some silk flowers especially as my husband is no flower arranger and he had to go up the ladder whilst I did the directing! (We finished it off with some gold ribbons. )
