Double Crested Cormorants
After seeing some incredible cloud formations last night, and with thunder forecast again today, I decided that I would wait to blip this morning, in case I missed a great cloud blipportunity later in the day. However, I needed some insurance against blue skies. There is a little park in the middle of Ocala, down by the railway line, and under one of the flyovers that bisect the city. I swung by, just to see if there was anything going on down there, birdwise, and to my amazement there were birds of every description; heron, ibis large and small, duck and egrets, all wading in the retention pond close by. I was quite pleased with this funny wood stork, but, as I walked back to the car, past the sinkhole in the park I saw these guys, and the combination of the birds and the reflections did it for me. There will be more thunder, I am sure!
