Thank you all so much for all the kind comments yesterday, I really appreciate them all. Not being one to look a gift bird in the beak, I'm hitting you with another cormorant today; well actually the same cormorant, that was sitting on the same branch in the same spot today. The birds here are shy; it is a rough neighborhood, and I expect they have learnt not to trust people, so I walked quietly towards them, knowing that they would fly off. This one, the older one I think obliged; the younger one sat tight, and I took some nice shots of it, but I prefer this picture, with the upside down look. Where there are fish, then there are cormorants but you would need to be underwater yourself to appreciate how they slice through the water, with bubbles flashing from iridescent feathers, lethal hunting machines that are the scourge of fishermen the world over.
