798 Art District

Our last day in Beijing was a hot one and we spent it visiting the 798 Art District in the city. It was really interesting, consisting of former industrial factory buildings spanning a huge area which have been converted into art studios and exhibition spaces! Very nice!

We also got the chance to meet a nice Chinese girl called Yixin, who was from Beijing, but who we initially met in Shanghai, in the queue for the UK pavillion at the World Expo. We had plenty of time to chat then, and she was one of few people who could speak English. We swapped contact details and met up with her on the last day in Beijing! She is very sweet and interesting!
