Stone the crows!
Prepare to be scared! Well, actually, I'm not sure these scarecrows would made a very good job of keeping our gardens and fields free of winged invaders - they seem far too smiley and cuddly for me.
Maybe it's another case of political correctness gone mad. 'Scary-looking scarecrows? You must be joking... we don't want to scare the kids'.
Anyway, I met these guys on a mission to the local garden centre, having experienced a very standard Saturday of a trip to town to visit our (very good) farmers' market and a bit of World Cup footy on the telly.
I have had two days of frustrating missed blip opportunities - yesterday it was a gaggle of colourful hot air balloons flying low over our town, today it was morris dancers doing their thing and a young violinist playing. Either the camera was in the boot of the car or the entertainers packed up seconds before I was in position. A lesson learned!
