not-at-all-coldstream

a rare day off for my parents, but as ever something of a busman's holiday with a day trip up to coldstream to check out one of the day's yellow book gardens, at lennel bank (which was lovely but didn't photograph well). then a picnic and a wander round the hirsel at the other side of town. roastingly hot afternoon, and the glare washed the colour out of most of my shots here, but this one caught the glint of the water and the achingly white feathers rather well.
