Taking Turns

This pair of Gila Woodpeckers are taking turns feeding their young in a cozy home nest in a Saguaro Cactus. Mom is leaving and Dad is ready with the next mouthful.

Just happened to catch this photo as I was walking around the block this morning looking for an interesting photo to shoot with my new 1.4x extender on the 70-200 f4L lens. I consider the purchase to be a good investment.
