The Countdown.
Times Ticking.
Senior Breakfast was this morning. It was held in the school cafeteria plastered with pictures from elementary school and younger days, garbed in balloons and tablecloths, cheesey tastles and necklaces. With bacon, eggs, fruit, bagels, drinks; buffett style. Its all very delicious and crowded. Moments passed.
Senior Slideshow followed. Piled into the auditorium. Two Hundred and Eighty One of my classmates. A handful of teachers and administration. Watching a slideshow of our senior year. Picture after picture of people I know or don't care to know. Cheesey songs to sing along too quietly under your breathe.
Graduation Rehearsal. Rowdy. My grade doesn't quite grasp the whole silence thing. Nor would I want it too. We line up march out to the field. Two hundred and eighty one of us. Each name read outloud. It was hot and unbearable.
And frustrating when I found out Oh hey I might not be getting my diploma. An overdue library book you say? Well I hope I can find that.
Prom is tomorrow. Pictures. Lots of pictures. Smiles...Lots of smiles. I pray for no rain. I pray for a drama free fun time. Around forty of us piled onto a party bus. Dancing the night away at the country club. And then onwards and upwards to a sunrise cruise. Dancing the night away on a boat. Shall return tired and aching but filled to the brim with memories for sure.
I graduate on friday. I graduate on friday. I graduate on friday.
I sleep now. I'm not entirely sure when you will see a blip from me. Perhaps Friday evening before the ceremonies. Perhaps afterward or the next day. The next day...my graduation party.
I graduate on friday.
