Never a Dull Moment

Apple Store -- We checked in at 6:55 for our 7:00 p.m. workshop. The store was jammed with people.

At 7:15 I asked one of the employees, if the "Tour of the iPad" workshop had been cancelled. "No! It will start in just a few moments," he told us.

At 7:35 I asked again and was told that the person scheduled to do the workshop had had a family emergency. Another person would be starting the workshop momentarily.

Then Nicki introduced herself and did her best to give us some pointers and tell everything she knew about the iPad. It helped to learn that she had purchased the same exact iPad model that we own.

Much of what she showed us we had learned last week at the San Diego conference, but Nicki did tell us a few things that were new to us. She also explained that we needed the "Mobile Me" program to sync our phones with the pad. So we purchased that with a $30 discount.

Most of all it was just a lovely evening to be walking outdoors through the sights, sounds, and delicious aroma of food at Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga.

Today I was able to accomplish a couple more tasks on my summer "to do" list. That felt good.
