Genesis

The flatiron building is considered to be the first skycraper to be built in the Manhattan skysrcaper national park :)

Constucted in 1902, it is one of the iconic images of Manhattan.

I went to visit a colleague at Baruch College (nearby). As I was early for my meeting, I strolled around Madison Square (very interesting daycare arrangements), and the general flatiron district. Took several pictures including the most fabulous decor in one of the vegetarian Indian restaurants in East Village (Bhojan) - a 'wok ceiling' and 'green wine bottle chandeliers'. Creative and classy :)

Decided to settle for the flatiron.
