Some minor leaks....

Unit EC 20 has a few leaks inside the boiler. We investigated it, but it's very difficult to see where the water is coming from.
Worst case scenario: the welders have to "eat" themselves to the leaks higher up.
In that case the pipes that are blocking their way have to be cut and have to be welded together when the leaking pipes have been repaired.
We were inspecting in the last part of the boiler, inside the so-called "superheater cage". This cage consists of the superheaters, surrounded bij the "rest-evaporator" which is made of small pipes, welded together by strips placed between them, thus forming a membane wall; four membrane walls form a cage.
The evaporator pipes are connected to bigger pipes, the so-called headers.
Fire resistant concrete is used to prevent the fluegas from leaking away.

Remember the pressure in the pipes can raise up to 180 bar....
These leakes were found when there was no pressure at all.
Hope the repair will be carried out as soon as possible.
