Clouds in the Sky

I had every intention of taking photos at our weekly volleyball game at the park, but the weather was too perfect and I never got my gear out of the car. After a couple of hours of pretty good volleyball the sun was setting as we finished our last game (or set in the international world). I looked up to see these incredible clouds and hurried to the car to get my camera.

I had to drive a short distance to get a clear view, hoping the whole time that the light wouldn't fade too much. I hopped out of the car at a local school playground, with a clear line of sight, and shot a couple of quick exposures, bracketing to ensure good color saturation and detail. I tired to include just enough of the ground to form a base for the interesting clouds.

This is the final result after a little tweaking in PhotoShop to further define the cloud formation.
