Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Our Neighbor's Flowers

After dinner this evening we walked through the neighborhood.

It's mostly a quiet place, but we rounded the corner to see a dozen or so kids in the middle of their street playing Dodge Ball, at least that's what it looked like. They were having a very good time.

A half a block further we stopped to talk with an elderly couple who were outside of their place. She was sitting in wheelchair as he sweeped the walkway. They seemed to want to talk. So they told us how long they had been married; they couldn't quite remember their anniversary day nor the year, but they both tried several guesses when we changed the subject so they wouldn't get frustrated with not remembering. They told us they were original owners of the house. They were real cute.

Then we walked through the park and looked at the backside of the homes that border the parkland. We always enjoy just seeing what folks have done with their places.

We arrived back to our street and I noticed the colorful flowers on the walkway leading to my neighbor's front door. So I walked over and captured a quick photo. I've always liked hydrangeas, but I've never grown them in our yard.

It's been a relaxing enjoyable mild temperatured day that we both have enjoyed very much. We hope you have a great Sunday.

Good night from Southern California.
