On a rainy day in may I blipped two doves sitting on the top of a lamp post at the back of our garden. Last week we noticed they had built a nest in our grape vine. The nest is five feet from our back door, though quite high up, but the doves have become used to us and just watch us with a beady eye if we look at them. There was no objection to my taking this photo, although I did use the telephoto to avoid getting closer than usual.
