Manny's

This morning Gary took the day off because we had a group evaluation at Kaiser for Liam to rule out ADHD. Well, we failed to get a babysitter for the other kiddos---so it made for an interesting 1 1/2 hour meeting. Poor Loren tried to keep Landon entertained with his iPod Touch...but it turned into a fight between the two of them. After getting the evil eyes from people who knew you weren't supposed to bring siblings into the meeting, that's when one of the ladies running the meeting came back with a mug full of crayons and a stack of coloring books. We wished that would have worked for a while! However, Landon did color superheroes in the book WE brought bright colors and gave them their own superpowers! One he colored purple (I think it was actually Spiderman) and said that he shoots grapes at people. Another he colored various colors and said his superpower was shooting rainbows at people. My husband and I questioned what villains would be scared of superheroes who shoot grapes and rainbows.

Once the group screening was complete, we headed over to Landon's swim lessons. Gary was happy to have the day off so that he could watch Landon's lessons, something he doesn't usually get to do. We treated the boys to a favorite burger place in our town, Manny's. They had never been there, so they devoured the huge burgers. Too bad the place is so expensive...left us too broke for their renown shakes! This blip photo was taken at Manny's. The kids got to try a good old-fashioned soda that included real cane sugar....non of the junk they call high-fructose corn syrup that sweetens current-day sodas! They are saying 'Cheers' in this picture. :D

The evening was split between baseball practice for Loren & gymnastics with Liam followed by dinner at David's Pizza. Yes, the boys have been shocked at how much we've eaten out this week. This NEVER happens. We told them not to get used to it, though, because the money tree is now empty. ha ha
