The Mile High City

In the grand itinerary of our adventure, stopping in Denver was never a big deal for me. It was a nice rest stop for a few days, or at least that's what I thought.

I love the city. I want to visit again. There was not enough time to see the area and all it's beautiful scenery.

This photo was taken on the 13th step leading up to Colarado's State Capital building. What's significant about the 13th step? It's exactly 1 mile from sea level.

I had a sore head the whole time I was in Denver. A check of Google reveals a lot of people suffer from this problem as the city is so high up. It takes a few days to get used to the altitude.

We'll need to visit for a week next time.
