Sign of things to come...

While bottling up this years Elderflower Champagne, I was contemplating what to blip on this overcast & grey day. Looking out the window while washing up brought to my eye this years potato sacks - all now in flower.

The flowers signify the small potato tubers are starting to swell - once the leaves have died back, they will be ready to harvest.
