School's out for summer

My son broke up from school last Friday and will be off now until the 2nd September. That's what I call a long summer holiday. I am now his social secretary as he is too lazy to make his own arrangements. When I was a kid I was out of the back door straight after breakfast and not to be seen again until meal times. My kids don't believe me when i tell them that during the summer holidays I could tell the time by looking at the sun. I knew exactly when it was time to go home for tea.
Anyway, he did have an eventful day and was very tired when he got home.
