Entropy

It makes me feel little bit sad to see buildings just gently slide back into the earth in this way - specially when they were constructed in a way which today's 'green' movement could only dream of. Stone from the quarry not five miles away, brought to site by horse. Bound by clay from the hill. Timber perhaps imported. Built by whoever was free from the farm. By next year I think the roof will have gone and another ten years it will be just walls. Too expensive to repair (it would take only skill and time but nobody has either). To be replaced in due course with a a shed from Homebase with timber from a place so far away and out of sight that we can in good consicence not care what devastation felling it will cause. Treated with chemical preservatives which in production and use leave our environment spluttering. Entropy is part of life as all things but sometimes I think we are watching the world's resources being pissed away.

Ok - you think of an up side...
