Snow Plant, Sarcodes sanguinea

For the beginning of this story, click here.

The third day of hiking took us back to the same area as the previous day. We continued to see lots of wildflowers. Each day we saw many Snow Plants, which have always been among my favorites. We hiked to Halsey Falls and then on the a small lake for lunch. After our return to the trailhead, we headed for the Frazier Falls nature trail and even more flowers, streams and waterfalls.

We moved to a quieter room and had another nice dinner out in the evening.
