Hoping this looks better in 'big'....
We were organised last night before going out for the last gigs of Open'er, and so we were down on the beach by 10.30am. I even went swimming in the (Baltic) Sea. It was lovely!
The plan was to spend a few hours there then set off for the journey home about 2pm. That's exactly what we did though we had hoped to squeeze in lunch somewhere on the way, which didn't happen because we crawled out of town in bumper-to-bumper traffic. A quick petrol station provisions stop and a further coffee stop, to combat the tiredness was made and then it was all plain sailing all the way back to Warsaw, arriving at Maja's at 8.30, which wasn't too shabby at all. It did the car good to have a proper run - out of the city. I expected the roads to be worse than they were, having heard horror stories from others, but they were actually fine, (in comparison to the likes of Kazakhstan and India) and the journey through the countryside and its hills and lake district bearing some similarity to the rambling countryside of the UK.
The festival was the main reason for going; but ended up being a bonus in my book, to what was a super little holiday by the sea-side. The VIP tickets were definitely the way to go and it'll be tough having to go back next year without them! I'm looking forward to exploring more of this lovely country.
